Black very high gloss black at that and powdercoat the heads itll look beutiful...

I just found out from Ted that since it's a L X code engine it has to be a '65 and not a '66 otherwise it would be an M X code engine. ou:

so guess what colour it has to be to be correct - yes!! GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN !!!! :laugh: :laugh:

So it's off to see Bill.

engine color

nick, now that you know what color. how are you going to hold it down to the frame? 65 and 66 skylark GS had special mounting plates.

Fortunately I now have the 6 peice engine/ motor mount/ frame pad set. Not cheap or lightweight but looks pretty bulletproof.

Next focus is rebuilding the bottom half of the engine and getting it in.
