Hello, I have a 1963 Wildcat witha 425, what color should it be? It looks to be a gold color, is this correct? where to get correct paint? Any info would be great. Thanks adam
It should be green, but the Riv motors were silver in 63 (401 and 425). Is it a replacement motor from another car? Cheryl
I was actually thinking silver myself, since the 425 wasn't offered until very late in the production year in the Wildcat. So maybe they used "Riviera" motors in the Wildcats...which were silver.
Well it looks like the color is not the issue now. Took the cat for cruise about 30 miles all ran well until I got home and did a burn out, Thats when it happen. it started to pop thru the carb. from my experiance this pop thru carb mean bad cam, stuck valve or something. Who make a cam and lifter kit for the Nailhead? Any info would be great thanks Adam
And the timing chain,if you go that far and like burnouts, then go for the cam swap, you're there already:bglasses: .

This is where I found green paint. They also have silver. My 63 Cat has green in the engine. http://www.oldbuickparts.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=641
