My 72 GS was code 11 which I'm told is Artic White. It is now Hugger Orange fresh out of the paint shop today. Thinking of giving it the GSX treatment. Bob Harris
I had heard that code 19 was Tuxedo black.I've never heard it called regal black, but I'm usually wrong about these things.Anyway,it's black with a white top and white interior w/black carpet.I like the way the colors contrast but I think when I put the new top on I'm going with black just because it won't show the mildew stains as bad as it ages.Just need a garage to put it in so I don't have to worry about that. :Brow:
Ditzler Code 9300 = Fisher Body color 19 = Tuxedo Black (Chevy) = Sable Black (Cadillac) = Regal Black (Buick) = Ebony Black (Oldsmobile) = Starlight Black (Pontiac). It's the same color with a different name, as were most colors among the GM lines :beer
Thanks Marco,I was wondering if that were the case.Regal Black sounds better anyway. When I hear Tuxedo i think of penguins or those guys that come around to your house in the little shirt and ties and want to convert you. :Brow:
have always thought Seamist Green is not a muscle car color, and mine is a Stage 1 - real muscle car. You know what BRG is? British Racing Green. I call mine PRG. Polish Racing Green.
Funny what 4 years can do..I no longer own any of the 3 I posted in the post dated 2004. I now have a Seamist Green 70 Skylark with green top and black bench interior...
I'm wondering why that "Alternative Lifestyle Purple" convertible is not listed herein. o No: :idea2:
I don't know what color this is called...faded bamboo cream? I sure wouldn't describe it as any of the gold or white choices. Tan interior.
Well my 70 GS stage 1 was sherwood green but was repainted white before I got it. Just wish I still had it. Tim
