Bought this emblem to do a custom radiator hold down top plate. Just wanted to know what kind of car this came from? And how would i go about polishing, restoring and repainting the colors on this piece to make it almost like brand new? 1560733448761284099494.jpg 15607334649852081359396.jpg

You would need a part # to have someone with a parts book to decipher.

You can remove the grey plastic holding the 3 transparent plastic pieces in place (from the rear). Buy correct colors and repaint. Done.

Okay, that sounds like a plan. What about the thick clear piece that is in front of the colors? Am i able to fix the crack in there or no?

It looks amazing, did you just use testors enamel like model paints to repaint it?

Yes just testors or a similar brand There is a old time model store near my work
    Hundreds of paints
The white and blue were fairly easy to pick
The red I spent a hour going thru different shades , now I’m not sure how close I picked to orig but I was happy with the shades I picked
And yes lots of patience as it takes a few coats to cover

What was the name of the red and blue that you picked?

Sorry no I dont have the paints any more. I just chose a dark blue and then went for more of a ruby red over bright or orange shade of red

That's a sought after emblem. I've seen lots on cars in the U Pull It, that had been pried off by a vandal and destroyed.
