http://www.ebay.com/itm/362006217620?ul_noapp=true I'll give on the motor swap a very little bit as there are just some people that have absolutely no clue as to what they are doing. However, he went too far. He even changed the EPA sticker. But there is no way any right minded person could accept the decal on the air cleaner. Even making him drive the car with the top down in Hades for eternity would not be punishment enough. Have to go rest now, my handlers are calling. Lou
I scrolled down quickly after realizing I'd seen this ad, and in my quick glance I thought his ebay ID was 'team thief'. Patrick
No rips or tares. IIRC "tare" is the weight of a container used to hold something - be it scrap, produce, etc.
WTH is going on with the brake lines coming off the master, looks like they tangled up in everything, dash has no warping tho, so that's a plus, all Buick dashes are supposed to be bent down over the column so if yours is straight like mine it's wrong dontcha know,.....JUNK JUNK JUNK
Well, at least they're stating outright about the engine swap finally. First two listings seemed like they were trying to hide the fact. And yes on the Pontiacs all being the same block size...except the 301, but we won't talk about that..........
Nailed it! I was going to say the same thing. Plus, lower down he says, numbers matching 455 V8. Uh, what? Numbers matching to a Pontiac Firebird 455 SD perhaps.
what are the odds someone yanked the 350 20 years ago and swapped in the Pontiac? that sort of thing was fairly common practice
I was selling my running, good condition, engine correct, 72 GS 455 convertible a number of years ago. Some knucklehead contacted me about it. As I was interviewing him about the sale of the car, he stated that he had a souped up 455 Pontiac engine sitting in his garage that he planned to install into the car as soon as he bought it from me. I refused to sell it to him and hung up the phone. Looks like he found another car to complete his project with. Needless to say, the car that I sold still retains all of its originality except the guy painted it red instead of keeping it the factory yellow.
Back in high school, my buddy had a 70 GTO that was a showcar from the 70s. Had red crushed velvet interior with swivel seats, candy apple red ghost flamed paint, the whole deal....with an Olds 455 in it. As I said in another post, I'm not a Pontiac guy whatsoever, but, man, come on.......
