As the title states, we're going to do a run of Stock Spec aluminum blocks (stock mains/crank, stock cam, stock deck height). If you are interested in one, please call and put one on order to ensure that you will receive one as the quantity that we will have available in stock will be limited. We'll give a few weeks for people to put one on order and I'll update the thread with how much time is left. If you know of someone who may be interested, please let them know as 1. it takes months to do a run of blocks and 2. we'd like to have a few in stock and would like to avoid selling those during production when we could have added more onto the run if the order was placed now :TU:

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

for a 550-600 cubic inch engine would stock specifications be good or you don't recommend it?

I wanna use the TA Aluminum 455 block and a set of TA Stage 2 heads to build a 600 CI engine
that looks stock, idles smooth and makes enough torque to stop the rotation of the earth!!!;-)

    Mike,
Will the stock spec block cost the same as the block that has the stock mains, bigger cam tunnel and stock deck height?
    Thanks

To be honest, the reason we never really made an all stock spec'd block is because we wouldn't recommend that; we designed the blocks to use smaller mains and a bigger cam for a reason. We're doing a run of blocks like this for people who want to reuse their current components (say they have a lot of money in custom crank and cam already and don't want to have to buy another, in this case they just want to upgrade the block) or for people who just want to use their stock crank for whatever reason :pp. If your going to build a whole new engine, I'd recommend one of our other versions.

As for a price, it will depend on how much each block costs to cast and machine.

How long will it take to have one machined?

Umm, I believe it usually takes a few weeks to have them all machined, so a couple days per block I figure. Machining is a few months away, we have to place the order, wait for the foundry to get going on the run, cast the blocks and then ship them to be machined.

Mike, After 6 months did anyone at all make a deposit or show definite interest. This might be important to see if any of these guys might want a new cast head ( THE TOMAHAWK HEAD! ) with water jackets or billet heads with water jackets.

Ken, You know I'm in on a set of Tomahawk heads with water jackets. Cast or billet.

Probably do a stock aluminum block for a street monster I have in mind, also.

Mike, What kind of money are we talking for a deposit on one of these blocks. Im collecting parts for a future build and this would be the best platform to start with.
