Thank God my brother is okay.

Lady ran a red in front of him so that is the end of Dads favorite “fun” truck 318 Magnum with 3:90 Posi rear.
Brother had busted it up prior but this is the kiss of death for it.

Glad my brother is okay though.

    BUICKRAT Got any treats?

Those 318 Dakota's were nice trucks. Not sure, but think I saw one with a stock 360 once. Will check my records at the shop...

Somehow she had insurance (real low ratio in his area).

Buickrat: Steve yes they made a Dakota R/T 360, my Dad dragged me to the Dodge dealership when they first came out and they were near impossible to find selling so fast. I thought I was locating a new Dakota for Dad (Hotrodder at heart).
He and Mom and I drove out of town to find the one available(in my 62 Caddy : ) within a hundred miles and test drove the one out front on its own concrete pad.
The salesman told us on the test drive that no dealership was negotiating on the price IF you could find one & for ONCE I heard Dad say "No problem" (he loved dealing normally) we both drove it (I did on way back). I parked it on their high visibility pad and Dad just turned to me and asked "Well?", "Well what Dad?" He wanted to buy it for ME!
It stunned me because I always had the junk family business company vehicles.
My wife and I were getting ready to have our 1st baby,I told Dad with that 360 Magnum in it we wouldn't be able to keep the expensive (back then) tires and when he shrugged that off I said I'd be getting tickets plus needed room for my family and needed a bigger truck.
I know he had his heart set on it and I hate that but I found a super clean, low mile, 1995 Chevrolet 6.5 Turbo Diesel Dually Crew Cab ( WHEN DIESEL WAS CHEAP! grrrrrrrrrr) and there was nothing I threw at that truck that it didn't knock out of the ballpark. Still sitting here loaded from my last run.
Really hate that his black truck will be gone, made me smile everytime I saw it because it reminded me of him rolling posi (not like boiling them or anything) and my brother asking "Why does it make that sound?" Dad and I just grinned at each other lol He was a cool and extremely smart Dad. Yep, I was blessed : )
