Ifya want I can measure the total height off the table and letya know tomorrow. I have no idea what the numbers correspond to or what your application is. Like I said, these all appear to be big car, long waterpump pulleys. Let ya know measurements tomorrow. Jim

Jim, on the taller pulleys, could you take a measurement from the nose to the center of the first belt groove? I'm looking for a pulley just a tad shorter than the one I have. Thanks

Not sure on the other two but if this helps your customers #1235778 is for 1971 & 1972 455's with A/C and/or the Longer Water Pump shaft.

I believe the other 2) may be for 350's ?

Thank you for that info. I have a 1235797 and it puts the belt right at 1/4" too far rearward. I need one that will be around 1 13/16 from nose to center of pulley groove. I don't know it that is achievable or not.

I may be able to help out but need to know a bit more about your combination

    350 or 455 ?

Short Water Pump or Long (Shaft) Water Pump ?

What year motor are we working with ?

Not trying to hijack this thread, just trying to help!

1970 455 engine. According to the measurements on the T/A website, it is a early short body. To line up the belt now, I have to space out the pulley 1/4". That leaves virtually no support nose for the fan mount. I don't think my current pulley would line up with the long nose either by looking at the measurements.

    Maybe this will help......

1970 Pulleys without A/C should be:
    Water Pump # 1375141
    Crank # 1375142

1970 Pulleys with A/C should be:
    Water Pump # 1375146
    Crank # 1375143

    1971 & 72 Without A/C should be:
    Water Pump # 1238156
    Crank # 1235779

    1971 & 72 With A/C should be:
    Water Pump # 1235778
    Crank # 1235777

71 & 72 Motors with A/C would have the LONG Shaft Water Pump

Sorry for sidetracking your post Jim. Is it possible to measure the longer pulleys from nose to center of first groove closest to nose?

  16. DasRottweiler

    DasRottweiler -BuickAddict-

Ok , did as you asked...
    2 longer pulleys are :
    #1235778 and #1247885
Measured from forward most spot on snout to center of 1st groove (facing front) : 1 7/8" on both pulleys. To center of 2nd (rearward) groove: 2 1/8"
    Hope that helps...........Jim/Rott

Thanks for measuring Jim. Looks like they are the same as the single groove one I currently have. Too long, dang it! Thank you
