I got the model T started yesterday (for the first time since I loaded it into my trailer last November). I took it for a short ride - about 1 1/2 miles, then put it into our garage where I have charged the battery, and in a few minutes I will reinstall the rear floorboards and remove the fronts to adjust the clutch (such as a clutch is on a model T). I also set up the adjustable trailer hitch to use with the Buchev rather then the rented 4 wheel drive F-250 that I last used it with. I also have checked the air in the tires of three of the six vehicles that we own. Our Florida house came with a commercial air compressor and tank, so this is almost fun. I will do some yard work that includes som cutting of grass on the uninhabited property next door. We have severe forest fires in this area and I don't want a fuel source any closer to our house then is necessary. We have had about two inches of rain here since October.

I'm embarassed, I slept in and just finished my coffee! Now I'm ready to go. I'm putting a nice rear sun shade in my Camry. Then I'm going to climb under my Subie and fix a rattling cat shield. Then I'll be puttering around the 70 GS. You are way ahead of me John.

Sitting here watching the #$%@!! snow fall.
Another weekend shot, not going to get a chance to drive one of the cars.
On the plus side, I bought a Henry VIII Groat (1526-44) from a coin dealer today for a tenth of what it's worth. He had no idea what he had.
I guess that's some consolation for not being able to take a convertible out.

This morning I helped my wife set up for a cat adoption event at the local Petco. Then I went home and installed the new distributor that I got from Ken at Everyday Performance in my 68 GS400. No more spark knock at WOT! Yay! It works great. I drove it to a local cruise-in to try it out but rain cut my testing and the cruise in short.

IMG_0027.JPG Just finished building a custom wagon for my soon to be grandson (due late July). One set of wheels for his younger years, and the one in the back for when he's older.

Replaced some warped boards on the deck preparing to pressure wash and re-stain.

Also painted a nice straight dash to put in the GS. Went from sandalwood to black. I followed cleaning methods found here on the forum and SEM landau black color coat. It turned out great.

Drizzling all day today. Managed to do the same thing as Brian- replaced a bunch of boards on my deck! Already power washed it though. Cleaned out the tack room and mowed the lawn all while dodging rain drops.

Went to an estate sale, lost my mind and dropped $2500 on another snake

Scored a set of vintage edelbrock 455 valve covers and an early Buick B4B at Carlisle. The guy wanted $450 for the full 430, but I was in a time crunch as my dad got sick and struck a deal on the covers and intake. This is the first set of edelbrock covers I have ever seen in person so it was pretty cool for me. Polished one up yesterday. Going to take the other and intake today. I want to keep the original paint as intact as possible as I like my stuff a little westhered. Garage art for now, these will someday be on my pro-touring project.

Currently sitting here drinking coffee and hunting Buick 300 V8 parts. Yesterday it was in the 80's, today isn't going to make it out of the 50's. Opened the pool yesterday and worked to get it cleaned. and then played in the garage a bit.

Today, continue cleaning the pool and goof off in the garage.

Oooo nice wagon and nicer car.

Degreased, and power washed 68 John Deere tractor yesterday so I can rebuild the hydraulic pump, install the new radiator and water pump. Gonna get it sandblasted and repaint it next winter now. Hung old sheets under it to collect all the grunge. Fifty years of farming dust and grease and grit came off.

I worked for Eric at Horsepower Innovations. Then we installed a new MSD distributor in his Camaro. Mowed the lawn. Didn't realize that it had grown as much now too much mulch. I'll go over it again, today, after it dries to disperse the clumps. Should have raised the deck but when its so rainy, I cut it about an inch shorter than normal.

Just got done another round of screwing with the 460 in the F350. Im about over this reman carb. Runs way rich no matter what gets done and loads up the plugs fast. That FoMo/Holley is a POS. 3 rd one and none of them have run right or even been assembled correctly in one case. Wanted to make it to test n tune at Gainesville yesterday but that didnt happen. maybe next week.

Re-mowed the lawn to dispense the clumps. Looks much better. Put up bird houses even though not one was used as a home last year. Made a nice rain barrel and installed it. Washed wife's Dodge. And a bunch of other stuff that kept me busy all day. I need to take some 'play time'.
