72 pet chicken i dont wanna be a pirate!

after the fires last week, and a broken down explorer in the only spot of my garage, the buick needed a bath. bad.

im still looking to replacing all the chrome, as well as tracking down a few trim peices, along with new side marker lights and steering wheel. still, doesnt look bad for not being finished :Dou: are the ever???

A very unusual paint job Pete. I like it and it looks very well done. (NICE!) :TU: Yeah, I can relate to the soot and ash having it parked outside during the fires there in the SD area of So. Cal. My nephew is cleaning up at his homestead and all his toys as well. He & the Mrs. survived the fires unscathed but a few homes in his neighborhood burnt to the ground. Glad you came out alright too. Again, the car is LOOKING GOOD! And nope, don't believe they ever are done. :Brow: :beers2: Jim

    Pete,
The car looks REAL nice, except those :blast: Raider colors,

It would be cool that as soon as mine is up and driving to hook up and cruise a couple spots. Nothing like cruising down 101 in the summer :bglasses:

ha. i guess i cant say much to defend the raiders colors right now :spank:

hey i just noticed in your signature that you can polish and anodize wheels? iv been pondering the idea if getting my torque thrusts anodized black. if not that, i need to get them polished. i made the mistake of sending my car to the body shop, where it sat for a month collecting dust and grime. i cant, for the life of me, get my wheels clean!

    Pete,
I do polish wheels, my shop is in Murrieta. If they are just dirty maybe try wd40. That stuff is an awesome cleaner, BUT if they are cloudy you might want them resurfaced and polished out. I do do that and it takes me 2 days to turn them around. I just did some 17" boyds and WOW, I wish I took a before and after. They were hammered up with curb rash, and just looked like garbage. The guy thought I bought him new wheels when he picked them up, they looked almost like chrome.

I've also done some parts for customers where I polish the part and then anodize over it. It actually gives it a higher luster, like a black chrome effect. Give me a shout one of these days and we can brain storm
