I'm sure that thru choke problems that I have washed out the engine with gasoline while trying to start it. Plugs a soaked with gas and it was popping everywhere. Is there a procedure that you follow to dry the gas up and reoil the cylinders. New plugs and oil? Frank

Drain the oil frank , pull the plugs let it air dry out gas then spray cyclinders with WD 40 & hope for the best ! You can wash the Hone instantly with a folding carburetor

Fogging spray also works well. Can be purchased at most powersports centers.

Just run it wide open throttle down the freeway for a bit. And enjoy the smoke screen. that will burn it off.

This has me. Wondering if an air tool oiler could be used to introduce carb cleaner into the mixture to counter the oil sucked in by the pvc valve in line with the pcv hose before it goes into the carb, for the purpose of keeping the top of the intake valves clean. Or is port injection the onl way to achieve clean valves all the time

Many port injected engines I've seen have more buildup on the valves than when fuel is introduced further up the stream and atomized.
If we are talking about worn guides leaking oil and the port injectors garden hosing them down, that's a whole different thing.

While turning the engine over I'm going to run Marvel Mystery Oil thru the intake to make sure everything is lubricated before trying to fire the engine. Once I get this car running, I will NEVER lift the hood again. Frank

That will make one awesome smoke screen Frank!
I used to squirt a bunch of ATF down a carb or throttle body when one of the guys wasn't looking. The puzzled look before realizing that I was messing with them was priceless.
8ad-f85 Ive baffled my b4b under the pcv and still pulled oil. The valley pan still there. I converted an oilier for air compressor and made it into an oil trap. With the baffle it still filled at the bottom with oil. And my valves were still cruddy. My guides were pretty worn too. I had the white tefelon seals, and also then the blue nitrile seals. Worn guides be damed. Still suck oil . Ware can you find a consentricity checker for valve seats. ? I ve looked every ware but haven't looked in the rite place yet.
