Was there ever a floor shift manual transmission Riv, Centurion or LeSabre?

    From my understanding the only 71 - 76 B body that could come with a six was in 1976. That was the 231 v6. Not a bad motor per se, but a joke in a 76 full size Buick.

    Most of my literature is in boxes, but IIRC, it is the Chassis Service Manual that indicates the inline 250 for the LeSabre, not any of the Sales literature. Not that a Chassis Service Manual means that it was actually put into practice, but at least somebody at GM was thinking about it.

    Still... yech!

    My dad was born in Dalton and it's a really small town in PA. I think there were about 30 students max in his HS graduating class. I still have family in the area. What a small world- I'd love to have come across that Buick before it left the area! I wonder if the family has anything else interesting.....
