I have a low mile 67 430 (carb to pan) but don’t wanna start robbing parts off of it. Gearing up for an engine rebuild so not a huge hurry but please let me know if you have a decent set lying around somewhere. Thanks, Fritz
John, yes that was my understanding over the years but I am kinda like you so all I can say for sure is a "definite maybe"
I have heard 1.59 several times, but don't quote me. I've also heard the casting was exceptionally erratic.
Guten tag, Herr Fritzenheimer. I have a 1967 430 I am building, and using new parts on a short block so I have the top end and some other parts available. Valve train (pushrods to valves, no lifters) tall port heads (MPI, no cracks) as well as a good timing cover/oil pump and valve covers. I gauged the gears, within spec. Let me know if you are interested in some or all, and if you need anything else. Engine was in excellent shape out of a '67 Electra, and only required polish to crank and all bearings are standard and measured .020 clearances, so I am confident the top end is in good shape.
