I am looking for a Big Block Buick starter, part number 1108392 with date code between September and first week of December, 1969.

Date code will start with 9J, 9K, 9L, or 9M. If 9M, the day part of the code should be 7 or less.

Part number and date code should be stamped on the body of the starter motor. Any condition just so long as it isn't so rusty that it looks like it was part of the Titanic. Let me know what you have.

I've got one that's for a '69 model year car if you don't find anything else in your date range.

Thanks guys. That 8C starter isn't original to the 1970 455 is it? 8C should be for a '68?

    Starter date code 9A, 9B, or 9C?

The 09C on my trim tag and the 00008 body number indicate a third week of September 1968 build. So I suppose I need something like an 8H or 8J.

(Correct me if I am wrong on any of this.)
