I know what you mean Tony, summer has just slipped away! no problem on the Mona Lisa, just busting your chops!
ttt, still looking for that elusive "right" convertible. Would consider offering a 70 GS 455 hardtop in part trade, for the right deal.
What did you buy now? Just trying to get the wife used to having a third car around? To bad you are stuck on a 70, I was kinda diggin Hemikillers convert for sale. Talk to you soon. Tony
Yes you are right Tony, I picked up a hardtop car out of Oregon this weekend and I am trying to get her used to having extra cars around. Luckily, I put one into winter storage last weekend, or I would be in big trouble. I also picked up a little commuter car a couple of weeks ago, so now we have 5 cars at home and 1 in storage. :eek2:
I will put your wife up for saint hood right behind mine. The wagon is in the garage next to the GS convert, 1 GTO is in the next door neighbors garage with one of my Harleys, the 37 street rod is at my dad's along with the other 66 gto, my boat, car trailer, and plow truck (he is a patient guy). Not to mention my daily driven pick up and her explorer at home. This is actually less than last year. :error: Tony
ttt, still looking for that elusive "right" convertible. Would consider offering a 70 GS 455 hardtop or two in trade, for the right deal.
I have heard finding a 70 GS convert is like catching a mermaid, or finding unopened R-12. Tony
I have some unopened R-12 in the garage, so I am halfway there. Not sure where I would keep the mermaid. The bathtub, I guess? It didn't work out very well for Tom Hanks and Darryl Hannah in Splash, so I am not so sure!
Chris, would you be interested in a 71GS455 Convert, the orange one that Harvey fixed up? Now that I've bought Chris's blue one I've got three 71 455 convertibles (not counting the parts car). It still needs a few tweaks but overall it's in pretty nice shape, no rust, and something like 45K miles. I'm not really pushing it but would consider letting it go to someone who'd appreciate and take care of it.
Hey Mike, I appreciate the offer, but I really have my heart set on a 70 for a long-term keeper, and unfortunately for me, a 71 or 72 won't do. Just makes it that much harder to find the right one!
Don't you mean Buinicorn :beer for years my co-worker's called my car that because it was always going to be done next year. They made this picture to hang up in my cube
Someday maybe I'll learn the attraction of a 70 versus a 71 or even a 72. Personally I don't "get it".
70-71-72 verts :Smarty: 71 and 72 gs's are for many reasons better than 70,anyone in the buick gs community knows the technical differences :Smarty: just ask china mike or bill van steen and many others that agree the 71 vert and 72 verts also have a better ride than the 70 :beer :Brow:  good thing the 70 gets all the press and higher bucks so we 71 and 72 guys can buy them for less than 70 dudes pay for theirs  :Smarty: :Brow: :TU:
