I'd let my Wildcat go for the right amount, but, it would probably cost a small fortune to get it out of Canada. I'm thinking about $15,000 US, shipping is the buyer's problem.
That's straight up racism! You wouldn't sell to me a couple of years ago, when I Askes.. Is it because I'm white and Danish?!?! (Just to stay clarify, it's only meant as a joke)
But I still really liked the car then...anyway, now's your chance to buy it before I get it out and drive it again (there's still 10 cm of snow on the ground). Once I drive it, I might change my mind again because it is a lot of fun to drive. I'd prefer it goes to a good home and is appreciated, it needs to be finished and driven. All it's done since I got it back is sat around in a garage, like it has for the past 20 some odd years that I've known it. It will likely need a mechanical freshening up soon, (next 4-5 years) it's all still very original mechanically, the motor and transmission have never been rebuilt, and nor has the suspension. It does have a great body and chrome, and the interior upholstery has been redone. This is a great car for someone who is a mechanic, I'd finish it myself, but my back is completely shot. It's got the 430, it's never been apart, and it's got PS, PB, tilt wheel, power windows, power seat, AM/FM and the original and very rare factory 8 track.
Pontiacfarmer, if he doesn't come through, contact me, the price stated above is flexible (to a point) and the cheapest way to ship it would be on a boat from Vancouver.
As stated, mine's for sale, US $15,000 obo. See the picture above. It's a 1967 Buick Wildcat Custom trim, one of only 2100 or so. (Can't remember off hand) It has pb, ps, tilt, Power windows, power bench seat, factory AM/FM and the rare factory 8-track. The body, chrome and interior have been redone, but mechanically it is all original, never rebuilt, just maintained. It has 134,000 miles on it, doesn't smoke, starts first crack, and still will get rubber into 2nd gear. The original 430 4bbl motor is there, it's never been pulled apart, ever. Tranny is tight, and the switch-pitch still works. it has the 3.07 standard axle, unfortunately. It has a modern rad, but I still have the original as well. The brakes and suspension are what the General put into it; - drums and Pleasurizer shocks. I've done the shoes, but I think that was 20 years ago now. The top is 20 years old, but has been in a garage most of that time so it's still good; it has a glass-back window. Top hydraulics could use some work; they leak a bit it seems. The top motor was rebuilt about 12 years ago. So it's not a perfect car, but a very presentable driver. This car would be a mechanic's dream, it's all mechanically dead stock right down to the breaker points and has never been molested. More pictures available on request, and yes, I'd still trust it to be able to drive across the country.
I know this thread is from the summer, but I have a 66 wildcat 4 door hardtop. The body is in bad shape, but it runs and drives just fine. I have put 7,000 into the functional components of the car. All rewired, rebuilt motor, transmission, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Like I said the body isn't in great shape though. If your still looking for something let me know.
