now that the vinyl GSX stripes are installed what type of glue to use for the loose ends that will not lay down? how soon can I wash the car? BTW I have done this once but not ever again. kenny462

Shouldn't need any glue, but I guess some fingernail adhesive would work, if your paint is fresh you don't want to put any glue on it for a couple months tho, a drop of urethane automtive clear would be better now that I think about it, as long as it doesn't eat the tape up. Another option would be to section the tape . I assume you took all the adhesive off with your fingers while applying them

Was this a Phoenix kit? The Phoenix kit I installed on my GSX drag car was fairly easy to do and it stuck 100% everywhere. There where a few "blemish" spots that I couldn't get out, but given a few days in the sun they were gone.
Sorry to hear of your issues with the stripes.

let me clarify!! the loose ends I speak of are the ends that go into the door jambs. this is a PG kit and has been a pleasure to work with. my problem is 76 years old w/Parkinson. could not have done this project w/o lot of help. I make a great supervisor.kenny462

Wipe off the area it's not sticking with alcohol and Maybe dab the back side of the tape with some also then see what happens if it stays in place get some clear and a paint brush and drag over the ends

Here is what I will try; the clear is a good idea! also using rubber base contact cement may also work! after all we are talking about 6 or 8 1/8" pin stripes that wrap to the fender/door opening and the door to quarteropening. don't get me wrong, the PG kit,I used was great..PG was a pleasure to deal with. kenny462.
