When I rebuilt my Nailhead due to some recommendations I did not install any valve seals. I am getting some blue smoke on startup because of this. Are there any bonnet seals that will fit inside the stock valve springs? If so I could install these without removing the heads. Considering installing just on the intake valves.

  2. what year are your heads, 66 was the first year they used valve seals and only on the intake valves if I remember correctly. These are the new ones I got from my stock 66 heads

  4. sounds like you will need the tool to cut the guides so seals will fit.

Thats what I was afraid of. Didn't want to remove the heads if possible.

You can either put those "positive" seals on the heads or you can use an o'ring which was the norm back then. There is also an "umbrella" type seal that you push on and are not a part that needs machining to work.
