    Daily driver and bracket car.
The motor was out of the car for a while,
    i did change to a 2004r/2200stall from a th350/1500stall.
I had a 670-Avenger but it dropped a half second and 5mph on the 1/8th.

So I tried a 3310-1 and picked up the 1/2 sec but is off 2.5mph
What gives? i don't think the trans is slipping, the fluid looks and smells new.

What do you guys like on your 350's ?

    vacuum, double pumper or Q-jet.

    Cheers!

i always opt for a properly tuned q-jet, but there are dozens of factors contibuting to your tune up. check this website out for carb sizing and check there main page for tech articles especially plug reading. good luck.

    On a 350, you can't beat a good Q-jet.

What happened to the big magazine motor? Like the other two said. even a really healthy smallblock loves a Quadrajet. I ran both a 7042240(72 800cfm) and 7043240(73 800) on mine and it loved every minute of it. Mine liked richer jets and rods than the stock 455 settings and I opened up the off idle restrictions a little( had a nice cam in it). Dropped in a set of DU secondary rods on a J hanger and hung on. The little motor likes it some fuel.
