vacuum modulator question,TH 350

    how often should vacuum modulators be replaced/checked/adjusted?
    i have 47,128 original miles on my 75 le sabre, should i replace,or adjust it? just want info so i will have it to refer to later if needed

    I don't think there is any adjustment or way to check the vacuum modulator. They aren't an item that wears out frequently and don't have a usual lifespan. Its one of those items that gets replaced if it fails because they don't fail frequently.

    Yank the vacuum hose off the modulator down at the transmission. If trans fluid is present in the hose, or if it drips from the modulator nipple, it's toast.....replace it. Otherwise if it's dry, it's OK. :bglasses:
