My brother and I spotted a 72 Riv in a junkyard. The guy at the yard wants $350 for the motor. It appears to run good and is all there. Is the price fair. I thought so. My brother is thinking about getting a 455 for his 69 GS400. This motor seems to be a good candidate for a rebuild. How about some input. Thanks guys
Doesn't sound too bad. Maybe a little high. Make sure you get all the brackets and throttle linkage. There are some guys on here that get them cheaper but if it doesn't have a cracked block and it runs it should be ok for a builder. Mike D.
