Not sure this is the right spot. But I'm gonna look at a used 2 post lift that's 14 years old. When I compare it's stats with today's machines comparables are 3800. What should I be looking for? It's already disassembled with all the paper work.

Not an expert on these, at all.
I purchased my 2 post lift used. At 9k lbs capacity its enough for my use.
Mine had a new pump and reservoir assembly with new, clean fluid which is an expensive part so that was a plus. The carriages that ride inside the frame on mine have rectangular 'ears' at the top and bottom. Each one of these ears has a poly bushing that slips over it as an economical wear item. Mine were worn out so much that I had metal on metal contact, the ears on the carriage were 1/3 of the way worn through the metal. I welded new metal, shaped, grinded and made them good as new before assembly with new bushings. It wasn't that bad but did take some time and effort.
Before I did this the arms, when extended, were not level. They were angled down almost a full bubble with my level. After new bushings, they are perfectly level. I got mine for under $1k from a mom and pop repair shop that was upgrading.

Not familar w/Ammco, but I recommend you go with a lift company that is still in business. I think newer Ammco are made by challenger, but the older ones were made by a defunct company in canada. I say this so you have good parts support. Also is it ALI, ANSI, INTERTEK or ETL certified? Find a company that services them and see what they say. There are many used lifts out there, get a good one!

Yea it was made by wheeltronic from Canada. They made lifts for alot if distributors and were bought out by snap on. It is certified and has what is called a hybred arms. Allowing both asymmetrical and symmetrical loading.
