So I used to use the dreaded "T" word (Tapatalk), but now using chrome I can't upload pictures taken with my phone without getting an error message. I've always uploaded straight from my phone in the past, any suggestions? Please don't tell me I have to add Photobucket or some extra site/app into the fray, that ain't gonna be good...
Outside hosting will make your pics look the best, as they show up full size, and it's best for the board, because we don't have to store the image.. but we do offer direct uploading, max file size is 42Meg, max image dimensions are 800x800 px. Check your phone, most of them take much larger pictures as the default, you might have to change your camera settings for a direct upload.
Thanks Jim, I'll play with it a little more. Bummer is I have some existing pics I'd like to upload, but that may not be worth the trouble.
I have Photobucket downloaded and just post pictures using that. Tapatalk was similar in the way pictures would post but I haven't uploaded a picture here not using Photobucket (otherwise) in years.
Here are the procedures that I follow using Google Pictures: create a Google account if you don't have one already log on to Google Pictures create a new Album select your pictures to be included in the album select Done copy the link to your new album to your V8 Buick post My new (as of June 2017) Android phone automatically uploads my pictures to Google Pictures by default, with no intervention necessary from me. I'm not sure that I like this feature, but that is a conversation for another day.
This is what happens when. I use the link from Google drive. What am I doing wrong? I have the folder shareable
I have an android Samsung 5. I have no issues uploading pics as long as I resize them so one of the two pizel sizes is below 900 pixels. 1100x879 would work as an example. Once resized, using Studio (in your gallery) save it by clicking on the file icon. Then upload that pic from the Studio folder, not the original from the camera gallery It is one more step than a direct upload from your gallery, but you don't have to third party host pics. Jim
I'm not sure. Usually if I try to upload a pic from my gallery that is too large, it never gets that far, it fails during upload and I get an error message that states file is too big. Resize a picture like I said in above post , then back to website, use upload a file, navigate to studio on your phone and choose the resized pic. That's how I do it . GL Jim
