Maybe if you didn't sit on your wallet, your head wouldn't hit the headliner...

I got the car out today to give it a bath. It still had body shop dust on it and a later of dirt from sitting in the garage.

Gave it a good detailing inside and out. Few more odds and ends to attend to but I think I'm drawing the line for now.

Stay tuned for more upgrades and repairs coming this fall. Ill be tackling-

    A rebuild of the Muncie
    Bead blasting the bellhousing
    New clutch
    Valve job and engine painting

For now, here are a couple pics of the seats and the finished engine compartment.

Why you spending so much time on this POS???? LOLOLOLOL You should have left like you did the "Beater" as you had so much fun with that one. AND, now the guy that owns it is having as much or more fun than you had because you could drive it anywhere & not worry about it.
Not so NOW with this one.
Careful there you may just turn it into a beater so you could have MORE FUN AGAIN!!!!!

No. It was sold out of Selover Buick in Billings Montana. It somehow wound up in the selling dealers used car lot around December 71 for $2900. I have the ad out of the Billings Gazette.

A kid out of Sheridan Wyoming passed by the lot and saw the car. He traded in his 66 or 67 GTO in on it. He commented that the GTO was getting a little ratty by 71. He brought it to Sheridan where it spend most of its life. I bought it out of Longmont Colorado in 04

Cool you know the history to day one. As unique as your car is, particularly for that part of the country, certainly must’ve been a customer order?

Just to add to it....in 1975, the kid that bought it sold it with a hurt engine for $500 to another local guy named Clinton. Clint's father knew the mechanic at the Buick dealer. The Buick mechanic helped Clint rebuild the engine and get it back together. In the process, the car got a Shneider cam, headers and a set of Cragars. By 1979, Clinton went into the Navy and sold the car. It passed thru a series of owners one of which was involved in a high speed pursuit with a police car which didnt end well. The car would of probably met its eventual demise if it were not for a guy named Tom who bought the car. Tom was the guy who put it back on the right path. I got the lead for this car from Jim Lore back in 04. I bought it from a woman in Colorado for $13,500. The most money I had ever spent on a car in my life at the time

At the time, I had 4 GS's- I had a 71 Stage 1 automatic hardtop, a 73 Stage 1 4 speed, a 73 GS 350 4 speed and a 71 Stage 1 4 speed convertible (1 0f 9) and likely the only one painted black. All were essentially project cars. I sold all 4 and used the money to buy one "done" car- this one

Sold it to a board member here. Last I saw, it was undergoing a frame off. It was black with a white interior. I forget if it had a white or black top from the factory. I think it was white originally. I bought it fir $900:p

I've probably had over 50 GS's in the 30 years I've been into Buicks. The rarest of the rare have passed thru my hands
