    Related to Wheelz' original comments: the Buick GS 400/455 remains the best big-block GM performance value out there of the musclecar era. Unfortunately, that's totally a Buyer's position.

    These were my thoughts when I first looked at the car. What would it cost to replace the hood with a GS hood painted to match the car? What would it cost to remove all those emblems, fill the holes and repaint?

    literally my exact story, my price was $3500 for a 72 though... same situation. Chevelle carcasses we’re going for 5k without any drivetrain!
