ive got a 1973 buick century. 350-4 freshly rebuilt stock specs.. new everything except crank and bored .40 over.. what mods would I have to get if I was going to do the twin turbo kit.. head porting, bigger cam etc.. just trying to see if its worth the money or the trouble or build my ls1 chevy motor and put it in there..

    alec296 i need another buick

Carb / fuel system work and exhaust. you can turbocharge a stock engine.you can get more performance if you ported heads with big valves and got the right cam .since your engine is stock you could mount 1 larger turbo and have less pipe to custom make.you would have to limit boost psi since pistons and rings are not made for turbo application. I would say no more than 6 psi.getting a carb for blow thru turbos and making sure you have more fuel pressure than boost psi.oil feed line to turbo and a return line . I would suggest a stall convertor of 2800.(on a stock engine it will be lower as they are rated for bigger engines) also I'm not aware of anyone making turbo kits anymore so you would be doing that part on your own.a ls1 would require a different trans and mounting

thanks.. I wasn't aware they wernt making the buick kits anymore..i just don't have the budget for porting and aluminum heads and such.. I want about 400 to 450 hp... so im better off building my ls1 and doing a cam and intake swap and illalready be at about 435hp.. ive got the trans and all the stuff for the swap along with the efi and wiring harness.. ill just use the stock 350 until I get the ls1 finished

    thanks for the imput
