Remember this is no longer my car. This is from some years back. Not sure how many beers ago. Custom Dave Tumas mandrel bent downpipes, and 2.5 summit mandrel bent exhaust. Not sure what mufflers, but it was silent.. 000_0276.jpg

Well for sure it was well built by Jay... my old car that I sold had the same turbo 350 engine setup and it was doing low 11s in the quarter mile on street tires at 3900 pounds. It was 460 Hp and 460 ft of TQ at the tires and drove around like stock with 18 inches of vacuum... unless you go over 1/3 throttle and then hang on it rips under boost...

My current car is also super tame on the street, idles like stock, 18 inches vacuum, makes boost by 2800 rpm.

Looking back it looks like I sold the car about 4 1/2 years ago. Here is a quote from an email from the current owner right after he got the car.

I still can't get over the amount of traction I'm getting in the skylark with only me in it. I took a buddy of mine for a ride that drag races and he refused to believe I didn't have some kind of crazy drag setup on the rear suspension until he looked for himself. He agreed with my that the car feels well north of 500 horsepower and will run 11's all day long.

Last thing, turns out buying -20 windshield washer fluid is no easy task in Phoenix. Luckily I have a buddy up north for the weekend and is bringing some down for me. The auto parts stores have all told me something along the lines of it's bad for groundwater and they can't stock the stuff? I think I'll just mix some heet and water to get the mixture I need so I won't run out this weekend.
    I LOVE this car!

Here's something I wrote to him.

Even a year from now it's OK to call me if you want to know WTF is this?? I miss the car but I an SO GLAD that that is not how I'm gonna die now.. Really glad you enjoy. That's really not why. I just didn't use it much..

In my email conversation with Lupe, he writes he has 2 interested buyers for the car, so he'll write whenever something happen.. Otherwise he sends pictures of what I want and answers questions..

Last thing a heard was he had 2 buyers in the US, and he would write if the car would sell.. That's properly 2 weeks ago, so I figured he forgot or didn't mind..

Damn, that’s a lot of car for his asking price. Looks like it’s in nice shape, as well as being quick.
