Didn't ask how much it was to get it re-ground, but it cost $360 Canadian..... so about $50 US, LOL!!

Finally figured out the new roller rockers. Had to grind the rocker towers.... Why is nothing easy with these Buicks?
Anyway, how many miles do I need to get on it before I can really see what this twin turbo stroker will do?

I would, you using just the wastegate springs to control or you have a controller?

Just make sure timing and fuel are where they need to be and maybe do a 6lb drive then if all is well bump it up to 10lbs, you running meth injection or Race fuel?

I have a boost controller. I will start at 6 lbs see how it goes. Then 8 lbs, then 10lbs. I'm pulling 1 degree of timing out every 1lb of boost. Will keep an eye on air fuel ratio. Running 94 octane, with meth.

As long as you have meth and fuel psi stays where it needs to I wouldn't pull any timing just set it a 30 and forget it. Once you get a feel for it that is...we run upwards of 20lbs on full timing as long as the fuel is there IE E85 or Meth. You will be plenty safe with your current plan just sneak as much timing back in as possible, after you read the plugs and a knock meter is a good idea also MSD has one for cheap

Do you recall what your bearing clearances were on the mains and rods?

What cam did you go with?

What at roller rocker setup are you using, TA's?

TA roller rockers & a poston 114 cam. I don't recall the bearing clearances off hand, I'll have to check at work if I wrote them down.

I thought this stroker was ready to go, but fired it up & it did not sound good.
Made a quick video, but can't get it to loading this site .... Why is nothing easy when it comes to these buick motors??
I'm going to check roller rockers, push rods & then go from there. Sean is going to load video when he gets a chance to.

It's all cars not just Buicks,...hopefully it's something simple

Hopefully it didn't run long enough to make its own clearance requirements...that would suck fuzzy nutz.

    Hope it's nothing too serious.

You did check the cam to rod clearance when you assembled it didn't you?

Sure did. Plenty of room there.

Sounds like valve train to me.... Waiting for Sean to post up video, I'm technology challenged to say the least.
Maybe a bad lifter, not sure
