Hey guys...been a while. Finally “finished” my car a few months back so I’ve been getting a lot of seat time. My daily driver is a 19 Scatpack Charger...so I guess I e been a bit spoiled in the horsepower area. But my goodness does she seem weak...and it’s a decent set up....just doesn’t rip like my daily.

So I’ve got time and extra money working from home and all. Of all my options (going LSx, 455, etc...) I think it would be more fun and probably cheaper going turbo. I’m clueless on turbos...can someone post a link or give a list of parts and a quick how too??? Ballpark cost??

Stock crank and rods, bored 40 over, 10.1 pistons, mildly ported heads with stock valves, SP3 intake, FiTech EFI, Dougs LT headers, TA_290-94H-350 cam, 2500 stall TH350, 3.42 posi 8.5.

Im sure I’m nowhere near 10:1 compression, which is leaning me towards the turbo setup.

Well that explains why it won't come close to your 11.7 Charger.

    Precision "LS" 76mm $1k
    Tial 45mm gate
    Front mount intercooler "Treadstone"
    Ais meth kit
    Procharger or Max Velocity Hat
Stock manifold on driver side,..2.25 cross over to pass side,.log manifold on pass side TA has performance the flanges

or you can keep the long tubes and run the crossover and then take a 2.5in hot pipe back into engine bay,..wouldn't be my choice

Remote mount the turbo behind the long tubes there where the muffler would sit,..then run charge pipe back up,..this is the easiest and will work just fine,..but will require a pump to return the oil back to the pan,..no big deal

Or twins..two TE44's of the turbo buick board,..one off each header,..would be pretty damn nasty and spool instantly

Or a used P1sc or D1sc procharger bracket kit From Rob At precision machine,..pullies can be sourced from multiple places,..this route will take some engineering but it's not rocket science

    Where is your Buick weak?
Off the line, or acceleration when your on the highway?
My 350 GS accelerates pretty quick on the highway, BUT my GN accelerates like a frickin' rocket at highway speeds, theres really no way to explain the difference between the two other than it takes time for the NA engine to move more air/fuel, the turbo does it RIGHT NOW:D:D

*Not to hijack the thread but maybe we have had similar issues this is what i just had going on and what really helped me out*
My Buick 350 seemed lazy too ( it barely chirped the tires at a dead stop). The engine setup is sealed power high comp pistons, poston 1 3/4 headers, stock heads and intake with a lunati 275/285 cam ( looking back not the cam I should be running with stock heads and intake) and to top off is a Holley 750 dual feed. What I did to help, I put adjustable pushrods in with Rhoads original lifters and a ta stage 1 intake with cleaned up ports. I'm running a th350 with Hughes performance 2200-2500 stall, 3:42 gears gn rear end with yukon posi diff. I had it out yesterday, it smokes the tires from dead stop , and a slight chip of tires to 2nd
and pulls hard. I think it would run with my 2017 Ram 1500 5.7 with 8 speed or give it a run for it's money.
The thing in the future I'd like to put in, is a built th200r4. I think the 4 speed would help even more to keep it in the power range better. My .02 cents Josh

There is a guy that used to visit the board that bought a burton twin turbo setup. I bet he still has tc Contact Sean for his name. I bet he would sell it cheap.

It just feels like a 285 hp car...which I’m sure it is. The cool factor of the turbo is a big reason for this too.

Yeah...my car will light em up from a stop too, chirps the tires from 1st to 2nd....still is t enough though lol. It wouldn’t even be a race against my 392. I think I’ve just got the turbo bug...cool factor is through the roof.

Is there a “bolt on kit” available?

No more bolt on kits available. There is a guy in Puerto Rico who built a Buick 350 a using very mild parts and stock exhaust manifolds. It runs low 11s in street trim. It’s 630 hp and it’s been reliable for 15 years.
