ight so im toying with different ideas of how to add some wow factor to my ride, turbo, procharger or maybe just maybe a good ole fashioned tunnel ram . It seems as if the old idea that they only work for high rpm use only has been found to be a myth, they actually pick up a solid improvement in the torque band across the board and of course they shine above 5000. So do any of you guys have experience with them on a bbb,? On paper they look like a no brainer much more equal distribution, more available air equals more power, and of course they look just intimidating. I would even consider doing or having a sheetmetal intake done its pricey but the wow factor is there in abundance. What you fellas think?
http://buffalo.craigslist.org/pts/5296426268.html I talked to him about the intake and he said he would let it go for $1700 with carbs and linkage. I have been told by a very knowledgeable source that it is a steal at that price. Cliff
Sorry for off-topic questions, but are homebuilt tunnelram intakes worth anything? I can fabricate intakes for both injecters at each cylinder with a throttle body flange or just with carburetor/carburetors.. All in stainless steal.. Downside, shipping from Denmark is rather expensive.. ( 200-300$ perhaps )
Rick I do not know him personally but try contacting Jim Weise directly as he mentioned he may be familiar with this particular build. I only communicated with him briefly through email. You can never be sure but hard core Buick guys are usually good people. I hope that helps. Cliff
From the other thread. The assumption is it's the same intake as the one Jim is referring too. How many large tunnel ram intakes are out there in the world for big block Buick's?
