I've been in contact with Jim. The move was a lot more involved than he anticipated. He told me that I will have the motor in my hands by the time the weather turns in the Spring. That is fine with me as I will be retired in early April, and I'll have lots of free time:grin:

Retired at age 55 from NYC Transit, after 30 years of service. I'm gonna relax and enjoy doing nothing, and traveling. Then I'll do something else.

Best of luck! Maybe you can get that beast to NE dragway this spring, so we can see some of the Real Buick stuff! Besides my old beater, which will hopefully make a comeback. :TU:

hows it coming? got a rollbar in the gs yet or you going to add a throttle stop to stay at 11.60 index.you should just trade me motors and you wont have to worry about a roll bar. in your car i bet you could run 13.2s all day :Brow:

Jim is just about completing the move of his business. I'm hoping to see the engine when the weather starts to get better. I have no intention of putting a roll bar in. I'll get out of it a 1000 ft. if I have to.

find a skylark and cut it up! put your ac back on the gs and race the skylark. that would be sweet

Building a race car is easy. Building a well-mannered luxurious thumper has its own appeal. Ask me how I know.

sounds like larry needs to get his engine back in in the car so you two can meet at the drag strip
