I am sorry to read this. Good luck with your sale, and hope you have the car back on the road to enjoy the coming spring.
As I recall, back in about 2009 or so when we did that project, air freight from MSP to the Netherlands was about $1100.. I believe I sent that one via UPS freight.. Motor and trans/converter Stock HD bellhousing Buick case on that one, IIRC...
That is exactly what i want for my car and i’m located in germany. The downside ... i bought a house now and money don’t grow on trees..
Yeah I know what you mean, but good deals always come along when its not the best time. But you hate yourself if you let this slip. So think about it... this is one heck of a deal for this aftermarket Buick parts package. And build by one of the best Buick engine builders.
Are we looking at $2k for shipping expenses to the US? I have always shipped out, never in,from overseas.
Do not know that yet Brian, still contacting a couple of shippers (so shipfreight), not by plane. By plane it will cost like I did 1100-2000 dollars with import taxes and handling fees downhere. By boat its slower and cheaper then 1100 dollars ....at least lets hope so
I talked to some shippers downhere. And they all said that the cheapest way is that someone that lives in the USA, gives a shipper a pickup order for the engine crate in The Netherlands. So for example someone in the USA gives UPS a pickup order for this engine package to be picked up and shipped to the USA. That can be 50% or more cheaper then if i call there EU office here and have it shipped to the USA. If anyone needs more info just let me know.
Complete car shipped to Houston Texas cost 1125,- thats excl US import tax and local fees. Still waiting on a quote for just a crate with an engine
