Hey, I’m trying to track the history / previous owner of my Buick. The guy I bought it from only had the Buick for a few months and only gave me a copy of the previous owners title. I got a name and state it was from, but No contact info.

    Any Suggestions on tracking down?

The car is from Utah, before 2001. I’ve called the dealership on the keychain, and the owner of the dealership remembered the car and previous owner but didn’t give me any contact info.

I tracked down the wife of my cars second owner from a old credit card receipt I found under the console when the int was redone. 18 gals of premium for under $8.00 in 1970.

Ha! I did the same thing! It was an old Citgo receipt. The old school kind. that looked like tracing paper. Incredibly, the station was still in business, the same guy owned it and the person on the receipt was still a customer! When I called the guy, he almost dropped the phone. This was a 71 Stage 1 I bought. He told me that he was in a 100+ mph chase by the police with the car back in the day, lost them somehow, and stuck the car in his parents garage for 6 months he was so scared.

Last time I tried to track down was over 10 years ago, so no face book at that time. I'll have to give that a try.

Only thing I could out back then was, I know it was sold new in Florida from the GS Society Paperwork and the DMV could only tell me it was last registered in like 1976. The core support has a tranny service tag from Hayes Buick in Utah from 1978, but they no longer exist. And the Utah DMV wouldn't talk to me due to privacy laws.

You might want to look into a genealogy website. That’s how the owner from 1966 was found for my Gran Sport.
