Long shot in the dark here, but I want to remove the stock spring rods from my trunk to make room for speakers and i'm try to develop a strut system to open the trunk. I thought i could anchor the strut to the trunk arms to those side braces. Anyone ever attempted this or have any thoughts?
Ive thought about it as well, but havent put any real time into finding the right strut that will work.
