so i'm slowly getting interior put in , door panels etc on , carpet in pretty good , starting on rear seat area - does the thin panel behind seat mount up near shelf and fit over the three "hooks" or just below hooks ? i'm kinda thinking up but panel not notched or marked at hook locations . and its been awhile so memory is not a huge help and my service manual books don't really show anything that I can find .
now if I can just get someone to show up to install headliner and sail panels --------------------------------- ?

The panel fits below the hooks. See the photo from an original 1967 GS. I can't say for sure but I think the 1965 fitment is probably the same or similar.

    thanks for pic .
my replacement panel is just straight across at top , no dips or cutouts . my hooks look lower ? and its not a paper kind of material , more of a stiff thin cardboard . I may be out there later and work on that a little , think i'll try a couple dif positions and see what works . probably not a big deal as long as seat fits ok and looks ok from the trunk .
edit - well dumbass ( me ) , I finally took off the protective wrap to trial fit , looked extra close - yep ! - there they are , some small indents and oval shapes that pop out . apparently they do go over the hooks . added a couple pics .

Where did you get that piece from, if you don't mind me asking? Looks like a good quality piece if you ask me.

    Thanks,

    Doug
