going to aluminum radiator without the trans cooler so going to use external cooler. Which is the best to use for racing and where does everyone mount them? Will never be on the street. Thanks , Brad.

The Seatrab are the best , had one on my GN, but I usually install the BandM Super cooler stacked plate due to price and they are very effective as well. Factory OE coolers like off F350's and diesel trucks are also great but can be pretty pricey as well

Pegasus Auto Racing has a great selection of Setrab coolers, and good prices. I got the tranny and engine oil cooler from them.

Used a 12V motorcycle cooling fan behind the Trans cooler and wired it into the same circuit as the rad fan. Works well

I have a large Flex-a-lite cooler with AN fittings, mounted in front of the radiator.

I use the summit brand. The barbed fittings are tight on the hose but they are cheap and effective

I use a -6 . braded line and loop it . No cooler in 30 years Don't sit on the converter any more than you have to!

I've tried that....found that after numerous rounds especially round robin car would gain stall speed and become less consistent as trans temp exceeded 200.
Usually loss of mph but better 60ft until point that stall speed increased to point that caused car to spin.
    I only run a 4200 converter....

because the car is off more than on between rounds never found it helped much without a pump to circulate while shut down it would just heat soak when shut down. We used a leaf blower on converter and trans when going rounds if you are hot lapping back to staging lanes and driving it like a street car then the cooler will help. If you tow to and fro total waste of doe lol

I ended up not using a cooler but keeping it running through the radiator cooler. Found a decent aluminum radiator that had that provision. I did put a temp gauge in and will now keep track of that which I hadn’t in the past. If it gets wacky going rounds I can always add the cooler.

Like BRIZ. motor cycle fans are sweet. Compact , not a race car though.

If u have an ac condenser on car but no ac compressor. You could repurpose the condenser into a tranny cooler!
