~~~Track rented in Valdosta,GA.. Need more cars~~~

CANCELLED!!!

With the PRI show being the same weekend the dates were changed to Monday & Tuesday. As of last night a few of the Chicago guys backed out because the dates don't work for them. So, we are not going now because the cost will be to much. The guy that rented the track is still going, he's his own boss so it won't hurt him as much as us.
This sucks,, it would have been a lot of fun. Maybe next time.

Maybe Jim Rodgers will find some slicks for LJ's Suncoupe and he can get his 12 second run in this year.

 

Already covered, but I dont think he will need them to get his 12. You can try them too if you like. You bring the rag head with the stickies you had in Reynolds, and I'm sure you will be able to run. They just dont want the "everyday" radials tearing up the line. Sticky DOT's will be okay I'm sure.

Yeah, I didn't think he'd need the slicks to make the 12 just to run according to Danie.

I'd love to take my car as long as I'm able to resolve the problem I'm having renewing the registration, although if I can trailer it down I won't need a current tag.

We are requesting slicks only because we don't want the street tires to tear up the track. Find a pair and come on down!!!

 

So MT ET Street drag radials are definately out huh? I don't know anyone to borrow a set from here and I don't really want to take the car all the way down there to be switching slicks back and forth from LJ's car to get 2 or 3 runs in.

I'll still come down though.

 

et streets would be ok because they are just slicks with 4 lines in them for people want to pay more money and still get a bald tires ticket. but drag radials no.

Hey Mike...

The plans have been rolling and things look good to be there. I feel pretty good the ole Suncoupe will get some 12 second fame and the local boys will be right, I don't have a 13 second car.

I hope you can make it too. Come by and see us if you are able to make it. I will probably be the only Suncoupe out there... Unless there are some others that may try to make it. And the more the merrier !

How about drag radials run out of one lane only? Not allowing drag radials will hurt attendance. They dont really hurt the track either. True radials hurt the track, not drag radials tho!

We need an answer on this, drag radials or no??

4-5 cars are awaiting the answer.

 

I agree with the drag radials use only one lane if you want to do it that way.

I do not have slicks, nor do I intend to ever purchase any. I have BFG drags and are basically a slick. I know it will definately help to pay for the track !!!
