Does anybody know the torque specs for the power steering pulley and bracket?? I removed them to clean and paint but can't find the proper torque specs?

Ok thank you. I have that chart printed off in the garage already but there's no mention of the P.S. pulley on it so I was hoping someone would know.

Honestly, the only time I would use a torque wrench is for cylinder head bolts, intake bolts, main bearing bolts, rocker arm bolts, and other critical parts. For everything else, I use common sense on how tight it should be. Using a torque wrench for something like carburetor bolts and the like is unnecessary IMO. I just go by feel. Less broken bolts and stripped threads that way.:)

I hear ya Larry that's my usual practice aswell I just wanted to make sure I got the pulley tight enough I don't need that sucker coming off and causing me unwanted headaches

I was just wondering about the heads. I know the threads in the aluminum can be pulled out if the bolts aren't the correct length. A agree with Larry. I don't torque everything. Just the important stuff.

...but it really helps to DEVELOP THAT "FEEL" if you calibrate your wrist by using a torque wrench for even "unimportant" stuff for awhile.

That is very true also schurkey. I hand tightened everything to "my feel/spec" then set my torque wrench to 40 lbs which is in the middle of what trunkmonkey suggested (35-45lbs) and it only needed around a quarter turn give or take to be in "spec". I did to the pulley to the 60lbs spec cause I don't want to risk that sucker coming off and wreaking havoc under the hood while driving!
