can someone explain to me the way the skylark came? I see some have vinyl top, some do not, and some have the trim around the back as to separate the two tone look. Is this just trim that is left there from a vinyl top that was removed?

Trim tag will tell you how yours was built. Standard was no trim, no vinyl, same color as the body. Two options were available; either two tone paint with trim or vinyl top with trim. If you have no top treatment your paint code will be listed twice (19 19 would be solid black for example). If the roof was painted a different color you’ll have two paint codes. (48 19 would be sherwood green with black painted roof). Vinyl (or convertible) top will have a paint code and a top color letter code (48 B) would be sherwood green with a black vinyl or convertible top).

Where do I find this? The car was originally Yellow and I have the trim around the back. I am curious if this had a vinyl top at one time.
