Time to swap out that grubby old brake booster & master cylinder. Advise?

As the title says, I'm looking for a new cad plated booster and master cylinder for my '71 which already has disc brakes in front. This item on eBay looks like it will work except I don't need the proportioning valve since mine is mounted on the frame as original was. The seller has offered to sell me this unit without the proportioning valve and associated hardware for a much better price. Will it work for me? It's a restoration part with the Delco Moraine stamp on it.

I'll do that. I bought my wheels from him several years ago. Do you know if the one I mentioned in my OP will work on my '71?

 

The booster appears to be the right one. I would say the master cylinder is not correct for our 71 cars. As you already know we also have a different proportioning valve.

Yes, I have the original proportioning valve on the frame and the seller is reducing the price to less than $150 after removing the proportioning valve shown in the picture. I've seen '71s with both the single locking Master cylinder cap and dual locking cap. Which one do you feel is the most prevalent?

 

I've seen that style master cylinder come factory on some 1969 A-bodies,and early 70's Corvettes. Yes,it will work,but as far as appearance goes,I don't think that style ever came on a 70-72 Skylark GS. It could have depended on when they were phased-out,and where & when the car was built.

The one that tdacton posted is what I have always seen on 70-72 disc brake cars. When you transition from 71 to 72,dome started appearing without bleeders.
Inline Tube carries the correct one with bleeders as well.
