I'm definitely in further than that. I think about a half inch or so from bottoming out. Guess I will make some driveshaft adjustments. Is it better to cut and shorten the entire driveshaft or opt for a shorter yoke since there are multiple lengths available?

    Duke,
With the car sitting on the ground, if you can unbolt the rear u joint, push the yoke all the way into the transmission, and the rear u joint can drop out easily, the drive shaft is not too long.

    alec296 i need another buick

This cam is quite small for a 470. It seems small I'm my 430. Still makes good power but I would think you might eventually want to step up from that.

I agree it is a mild cam. I really liked it in my 355 which is why I went with the same cam in this engine. It does ok though for my application since I don't race the car. If aluminum heads ever come in to the picture, I will swap cams for sure. As well as beef up my transmission

The rpm range is completely different when using a cam with similar specs in 2 engines with drastically different sizes.
Think of it as "opening the door" to feed a certain amount of cubic inches.
A cam that might be effective from 1800-6200 in a 350 might be idle-5000 tops in a 455.
