Is there anything special I have to buy, or do, to make my stock throttle cable work with a T/A SP1 and Holley HP1000 setup? I do not have my engine back, but want to be prepared. I read a foot note in the T/A catalog, that it requires you to legthen the cable. What does that mean? Any helpful hints? It is going on a 1970 GS big block car, with O.E. setup. I have no issues with the current setup, Performer and the Q-jet. Any help would be appreciated.o No: Regards, John.

Thanks for the links to those threads. It sounds like there are more than a few ways to skin this cat. With all the SP1/ Holley setups in Buick 455's you would think someone would make a no hassle kit. I will copy the threads and give it a shot. I have a feeling that this will be the most frustrating and time consuming part of my build. Its too bad it wont work with the stock brackets and cables from a factory 455 car. I don't want to add fancy brackets and lots of aftermarket stuff to make this work. Trying to be somewhat low key. Keep the pictures and part numbers coming. Thanks again. Regards, John.
