Threaded port on SB water pump.

    I'm wondering what this threaded port is for on a SB aftermarket water pump?

    The bypass hose already goes onto the back of the timing cover.

    Purchased a new one from Rock Auto last year and it came with a plug.

    Maybe its for some Jeep application?

    Has to be for something... They dont spend an extra dime on this stuff for nothing.

    Early short pump. Have that on my 65 225 v6. Just plug hole.

    Other than that It would be a great tap for a 24070 filter..
