Debating putting on one of TA perf stage 1 intake manifolds on my 1000 mile rebuilt 350 high compression engines. It's a 68-70 350 and only has a 600 edlebrock carb done to it other then full dual exhaust wt flowmaster 10s. Is it worth the effort or should I wait to do when I change the Cam and do a set of TA aluminum heads they have in the works. My mechanic is telling me about blocking off the heat exchangers when he swaps out as well. Thoughts on gains wt just manifold? Or wait and do all at once.
Weight reduction, cooler running, but not much performance improvement. That might change with the new aluminum heads. But, if you are still interested, http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/ta-stage-1-aluminum-intake.324343/#post-2710003
I put one on my 350. you will delete the choke system by going to the TA. my choke tub was rusted so I had to make a block plate on original intake. When I had my original quadrajet rebuilt I had an electric choke installed. My performed better but probably more due to the fresh carb.
