Found a gentleman that has a real nice Skyhawk, KB built motor, V6, of course. Full interior plus "juice", Posi rear, 4-speed car. He ran it in various "bracket" races. He says, his words, car is a 13 second car without the juice. Has slicks but a 7.8 rear end he calls it. Car has gauges, real nice interior and the outside is nearly pristene. What's this thing worth? I know it's difficult without pics, (I've seen some real nice pics). Ball park is fine. 'preciate it as always
len, dont know where the car is from, but they have a tendency to rust out in the wrong places, like the rear locating area. if its not rusted then you have a keeper. worth....well the 350 would fit nice in there. a real sleeper. btw, does it still have 4 lug rims, if so, changing them over to 5 lug is fairly simple. 245-60-14 tire is the biggest under the rear w/o rubbing. another words, BUY IT john
Thanks John, No, the car has no rust, it's a Calif. car from day one, or nearly day one. I have an Iron Head Stage II motor, makes real good HP and torque, was thinking.......Jeeeez, gotta get rid of a few cars before....but dang, I got the guy down to....well.....slightly over 2K. Still sound good. Here's a pic.
only problem with more power is more tying the chassis and body together. they will tweak with to much h/p.
Ya, true John. But what about the price? Waddaya think? Maybe keep the car as is? This would mean, me selling off some inventory. Ya, that's right. A 65 Skylark, 2-door hardtop, complete, non restored, bad dash pad, missing passenger seat, but body good, no rust, and perhaps the 72 LeSabre convert. Yikes, but it would be a fun car to mess with. Two more pics attached.
its worth the 2k. but at your age, getting in the car would be ok...but getting you out....priceless. lol around the n/east, on the h-body or v8 monza site it wouldn't take to long to sell. john
Dude, I had so much fun in a car identical to that! Mine had no rot in the rear boxes but I still tore out the drivers side banging second :3gears: Turbo'd it and then I kept bending the driveshaft torque arm, FUNNNNNNN!!!!! Jon
