They a muscle car parts supplier are located in Chicago, Illinois, I called about a console for a 70 gs, I asked if I could look at it before I bought it. They said no "this is not show and tell". Couldn't get a picture of it prior to purchase either. Am I being unreasonable here? Set me straight, I just would like to see the item prior to purchase.

Any experience with them, do they measure up as far as quality of product delivered?

    Thanks for the look.

    Robert:

If this is a 70 automatic console, I see those for sale all the time. Straight drives are harder to come by. If the guy would not send me a picture, he needs to find another buyer. I will be glad to help you find one and I am sure others on this Board would too.

they sent me the wrong package tray when i ordered from them, but they were very nice and worked to get it fixed. unfortuneately he came up with no match from his supplier, but quickly issued a refund. top notch in service, not sure about the parts...

I've bought a few parts from them, none of them used though. I thought the service was good. Doesn't sound like they want to sell it very bad. unless they have a good return policy on used parts, not sure if i would take the chance. Have you posted an ad here? At least then you would know what you were getting.

Also, keep your eyes on ebay. You would be amazed at all the stuff you find there. I've gotten so much NOS and good used stuff there. Just don't get caught up in the insane bidding wars. This board would actually be the first place I would start. Post an add in the Parts Wanted section. Then between that and Hemmings (if you subscribe that is) and ebay if you don't locate one I'd be surprised. Are you a GSCA or BPG member? If not, they can also help by allowing you to place adds and get the word out that you are looking for one.

  6. Last spring I bought a set of lower control arm bushings from them...price was good, shipped right away, shipping charges were reasonable. They also included a free catalog in the box. No complaints here at all. Oh, the catalog has no pics and no prices listed for any consoles, just says "call".

For what its worth, I ordered a set of bumpers from them a few months back. They came in promplty and were of good quality. I have no real complaints. Like everyone who has delt with them I'd say the customer service was top notch.

    Jim,

Would appreciate any leads on a really good console. I did post on the board, had a good lead, but the condition was not where it needed to be. Any help finding a console would be great.

    Rob,

Go to this link and look around:

    http://pw1.netcom.com/~gnenad/ads.htm#GSPARTS

Do a search on the word "console" to save you some time, by going to "Find (on this page)" under the "Edit" drop down menu of you tool bar in Internet Explorer and type in "console" and keep hitting enter till you find one.

I've inquired about a lot of parts on this page and have bought a few too.
