Regardless of his explanation or reason, it's still a shady way to sell a car if you ask me

now there's a contradiction! Where did you come by this info? Is the seller a friend of yours? Was the throat surgery story made up and if so why?

If true, I suppose you could say it wasn't a scam, but it's still a falsely represented car, using pics of a different car than what was REALLY being sold.

Divorce lawyers will make you do things like that. Can't blame the guy. A friend of mine was in a similar situation. I had to hide his Sherwood green 70 Stage 1 4 speed from his wife. I had the car for weeks. Drove the hell out of it! :3gears:

    Yeh, real nice

WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE!

    Whole thing is just bizarre.

Post pictures of someone else's car without their permission and get people who know the car is not actually available spending their time alerting the real owner, reporting it to ebay authorities etc

Regardless of the other car supposedly being nicer, still misrepresenting the vehicle to the bidders probably arranging funding, and spending there time bidding on a car not even for sale (white car). Not my choice of colors but what if that was the exact color combo a buyer wanted!

I won't even get into the personal end of it with his wife and children, because that is between them.

Think everyone lost on the whole deal including everyone here who was trying to make sure someone wasn't taken advantage of on an obviously bogus ad.Had to be a much better way to handle this........

    Still like my Dad's advice

He sure is going to a lot of trouble to hide assets....he should have just gotten a crooked lawyer, and paid off the judge, like my dad did. My Mom got most of the debt, and Dad got most of the money. I am still praying for his soul. Dan

What an idiot. Dissipation of marital assets. Just because the car may be gone and the wife didn't know it was sold in no way means he sheltered/hid the money from his wife. She obviously knows he owned the car and its disappearance will not relieve him from a resposibility to account for its value. I just dealt with a moron who sold his Firebird racecar to his father for a dollar during his divorce. Guess what? I found out about it and the judge gave him an *ss reaming he will never forget. Cost him thousands beyond the mere value of the car.

Please, don't let any "story" such as this one give any board members any ideas if they are going through a similar situation. Clever is just like stupid; it hurts alot. It is very unlikely anyone will be a better divorce lawyer than the one retained by their spouse.

    JMHO.

I would have to see some proof of this " alias-car" there are very few of these cars documented, if there is a new owner of this vehicle he should document the car. I really do not believe any of this , if he was so concerned about more$$$, he could have got alot more by playing the cards right. Maybe the new owner will list it himself? And maybe we will all waste another week watching E-BAY THE INTER-ACTIVE T.V. SHOW WHERE YOUR HOST IS SIR B.S.Thank You and goodnight.
