quote from item description "I will not give out the complete VIN due to all the scams these days. I would be skeptical of any car on Ebay and so should you ,so this is how I will conduct this auction:

I am not able to speak on the phone due to recent throat surgery. I will answer all emails. I realize that the pics are not the best but they are the best that I could do with my current situation. The car is in storage and I wont be able to remove it for a week so the winning bidder should inspect the car at the end of the auction."

No offense but this seems very fishy to me.

I don't know about fishy, when you consider he doesn't want any deposit, just that you have to inspect the car within 1 week of auction's end, and pay for it at that time. Anyone know this new Ebay member? Someone in GA must be familiar with this car. Does seem unusual that he wouldn't have waited another week to list it, when he can get it out of storage.

yeah but he says "If this car is misrepresented in any way, you will be relieved of your obligation to purchase. I do not want a deposit but the winning bidder must inspect the car within 1 week of the end of the auction and be prepared to pay in full at that time with a wire transfer"

If it were me I'd have 3 nor 4 of you guys check it out first.... :TU:

    Hi Fred -

I don't understand. Are you saying this car is listed by a scammer, and not the actual owner of this car?

Any chance there are TWO white and brown 4 speed Stage 1 converts out there? I have known Bud and his car for a long time although I have never seen the car personally. Never heard of another with that combo but seems like anything is possible.

Fred, can you tell from the pictures that it is the exact same car, for sure? Did they steal the pics off the internet somewhere? Do you recognize the interior of the building?

    just an observation

Did anyone notice that the car apears to have south side machine bars on the rear :puzzled: and the sway bar is mounted upside down as well ??? :Dou:

Did any one else see this

This is only an educated guess, but I don't think the pictures on Ebay are of Fred's old car. It's my understanding that Fred's car was detailed to a much higher level than the car listed on Ebay...paticularly under the hood. The car on Ebay has been "rattle can" Krylon restored.

This may be a second car. It does have some unusual characteristics such as the dash tach bracket, fender mounted antenna, and fugly Auto ZONE exhaust tips

    I've got a question

My Q - Would a brown interior have gotten black seatbelts?

    GSX behind ragtop

I think I see a GSX behind the vert.

Should the rag top have a "disc-brake" brake pedal on it ? :Do No:

Nope. Disc brakes were an option on big block GS cars in '70 but were standard on 71 and 72 big block GS cars. I do see that someone added incorrect sport mirrors on it though....
