WooHoo!!! Took the 225 to a local speedshop/mechanic today to fix the passenger manifold leak. Guy said the gasket on the rear port was pretty much gone and the front was on its way, while the rest was just kinda becoming one with the head. Grinded the manifold, too, to get rid of some pitting that he said was forming around the ports. Said the bottom 3 came out okay, but the top 4 needed the heat treatment. New gasket, new bolts, looks good and finally that extremely annoying, loud exhaust tick is no more :) . Guy even let me drive the car to the ATM after he told me no credit cards. Oh ya, the best part. The bill was $113. Thirteen in parts, and a hundred in labor. I was preparing myself for a bill twice that as to the headache that is always told of about getting those manifolds off. Also realized that this was the first time that I've actually brought the car to a mechanic to fix something.
