15 free Buick raylles. A Buick guy I met at the parts store offered them to me or he was going to throw them out. He simply had too much stuff. Some are '71 up big car and others are '66 Riv and Wildcat pattern.

Took the Buick into the Firestone dealer for an alignment. The guru of big cars and alignments is in andgot the car at 8:00am today. I get a call at 9:30 saying your centerlink is bent, is rubbing the oil pan. The centerlink was new from Ebay, moog part but is bent slightly by the idler arm. Drove back and checked out what he was telling me. Driver's side rear brake line decided to leak a bit, hopefully it was just loose. She's leaking coolant somewhere on the front of the motor. And here is the best part. The 5 fairly new Firestone 721's that I have on my car haven't been made since 1980. :af:  I don't believe the tires are that old. The belts in the tires will seperate with time, I guess that is why they stopped making them. He recommends to start looking for new tires. I guess the tires were lucky they didnt rot. But I have the reciept from the previous owner who bought the tires and will call the Firestone in St. Louis and give them a piece of my mind.

Sometimes you can't tell just from looking at the tire. My Lincoln has the original Firestone spare, with the wide-band double whitewall and everything, it looks new, and has not rot, but I wouldn't use it on the car.

    Tires

    Hey Rob,

If you are looking for wide whitewall tires (like was standard when the Electra was new), check out broadway classics by Multi-Mile. They have the 235/75/15 size that you need. A lot of Riviera owners have put them on their cars and have been happy with them. You can google the name to find a dealer near you, use this ebay link, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/P235...itemZ4604862952QQcategoryZ34209QQcmdZViewItem , or look up Gearworks in Maple Park (near Dekalb, IL) which is the most inexpensive place I have found.

I believe there is another maker named Dynasty? which are made by Yokohama. You can find these tires on ebay also.

Sure beats Coker's or Diamondback's prices.

I hope your '73 doesn't have that crease in the side like that.
